But save cancelled checks, and keep all medical bills for 3 years.
Priority is the key word, and at the same time objectivity. Make a list of every item you feel that needs to go in, then read it over and reduce it by half. Repeat that process until you feel there's no chance the things remaining in the list could be left out.
